Ultrafiltration (UF) system

:: In ultrafiltration method, water passes through an ultra-filter membrane with very small holes with maximum 0.02 micron diameter. The polio virus is the smallest micro-organism that can be found in water and its size is larger than 0.2 micron. Other microorganisms have diameters times larger than this size. Therefore, by passing water through the holes of this membrane. All micro-organisms are removed from water because they cannot pass the membrane holes.

:: Today, ultra filter membrane is made in hollow fibers form. The fibers are made by polyamide or polypropylene with holes on their body with maximum 0.02 micro diameters. Bypassing through those holes, water enters into the fibers and leaves from their ends.
